What Is Nickel 625?
Alloy 625 is a nickel-chromium alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance. The metal’s chemical composition consists of at least 58% nickel, 20% to 23% chromium, 8% to 10% molybdenum, and 3% to 4% niobium. Nickel 625 also has some iron content (maximum of 5%) and trace amounts of aluminum, titanium, carbon, and manganese.
This diverse range of high-strength materials delivers excellent performance in seawater and chemical environments. It has high tensile strength and considerable resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, pitting, and oxidation.

Alloy 600 has more nickel (72%), cobalt, iron, and copper, but no molybdenum.
